The St. James, a 450,000 square foot multi-sport complex, finds its home in Springfield. This facility includes obstacle courses, zip lines, climbing walls, party rooms, and more, plus it houses an indoor water park, Olympic regulation pool, and gymnastics training center.. Don’t forget about the area recreation facilities like Southrun and Springfield Golf & Country Club

Yard House, Mikes American Grill, and Silver Diner &pizza starts us off at nearly 5 star-ratings. Hungry patrons can find home-cooked tastes at Della J’s Delectables or Bob and Edith’s Diner. What about Mexican food? There’s no shortage in Springfield! Taco Bamba, Chuy’s, El Paso, and Tacos & Taquila are easy to access. Ready to breathe in the great outdoors? Check out some of the local fav spots for nature connection. Hidden Pond Nature Center features undisturbed woodland scenes, accessible trails, and plenty of natural wonders of Springfield. Field trips, birthday parties, scout programs, camps, classes, and other events can all be found at the center. Plus, Hidden Pond is home to the Pohick Rangers! This unique nature club has been connecting youngsters with the natural beauty of Springfield since 1991. Lake Accotink Park is in the area as well, located less than a mile away from the beltway.  This 493-acre park provides excellent opportunities to relax, learn and enjoy the natural resources.  In addition to the trail systems and waterfront activities, Lake Accotink Park offers many family-friendly activities including picnic and BBQ areas, hiking trails (Cross Country Trail), boating options, and a merry-go-round also.

Transportation

Easy access to Metro-rail, commuter buses, free commuter parking lots and slug-lines to DC.  What are sluglines?  It’s a form of carpooling that has been around since the 1960’s that provides drivers and commuters the opportunity to connect and commute to DC or the Pentagon using the HOV lanes.
